Wedding planning is stressful. Managing that stress is the key to enjoying the process, and not letting it drive you crazy. For our number one, top-of-the-heap, best ever wedding planning advice, read on!

There is a saying we repeat that applies to almost any wedding crisis moment – large or small.  You may have read it here before, but good wedding planning advice bears repeating:

Breathe, stand up straight and enjoy your moment.

Whether it’s on your way in to negotiate with the caterer, or before you walk down the aisle, these three steps will help you get through just about anything more calmly and elegantly.  And, the beauty part? You’ll actually remember the experience rather than lose it in a blur of wedding memories.  As you plan, savor being engaged, the time passes very quickly.  And don’t forget about the amazing person you’ve decided to spend your life with, they need attention and love.

Bridal Shows? Old news. Welcome to the age of Wedding Shows!

The language of weddings is changing as the marriage equality victories multiply.  (Don’t fret Utah – California has seen this movie and we know the good guys win in the end.) As I wrote recently, the term “bride” is feeling a bit outdated for some to-be-weds. We want all couples to feel welcome at our showcase event, so Wedding Warriors is sponsoring the Palm Springs area’s first luxury…Wedding Shows!

We’ll feature the best of Palm Springs wedding vendors, at top local venues.  The finest in flowers, food, and entertainment from throughout Riverside County will be showcased. Expect tastings, demonstrations and glamorous fashion shows for stylish to-be-weds. Plus, tons of daily give-aways, a raffle, and a SECRET GRAND PRIZE at each show!

Mark your calendars:  February 23, 2014  Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs   11:30am to 2:30pm   and  March 2nd, 2014  Palm Valley Country Club  1:00pm-5:00pm

Both shows are free, and open to the public.  All are welcome!  We’re calling these “Wedding Shows” because we’re dedicated to making sure everyone who wants a beautiful wedding has one, no matter who you love.  So ring the bells!  Here come the Wedding Shows!

Networking. Event Professionals Need a Rolodex!

What makes a successful event professional?  One very retro word: ROLODEX. Oh sure, you need talent, and office space and employees and whatnot, but if not for your business contacts, you couldn’t pull off an event. We do beautiful flowers, and plan seamless weddings but a bride can’t wear flowers down the aisle, and so far we have been unsuccessful pushing the workroom as a venue with our parrot Max as an officiant.  We trust our colleagues at Desert Bride to dress brides beautifully.  We send brides to the wonderful venues around town once we know what suits them best, and we’ve got officiants in our pocket like Rabbi Sally Olins of Temple Isaiah, and the team at Palm Springs Presbyterian Church.

In short, we get by with a little help from our friends!  We know how important networking is, and that’s why Gregory founded Wedding Warriors: Riverside County’s top networking group for wedding, special event, and service industry professionals.  The Warriors have monthly mixers in the area, and the first one is coming up on September 4th!2013.8.27 WW invite  Come join us and fill up that Rolodex, electronic or otherwise.
