Flowers for Life’s Other Big Moments

My Little Flower Shop loves to do Palm Springs wedding flowers, but some of our very favorite arrangements are for life’s other big moments.

It could be a birthday that deserves something more thoughtful than a card. An anniversary that’s quietly celebrated over a candlelight dinner at home. A dear friend arriving for the weekend, and you wanting their room to feel like a warm welcome. A dinner party where the table itself becomes part of the sensory experience. These moments matter just as much, and we love designing for them.

Milestone birthdays

There’s something wonderful about marking a birthday—a thirtieth, a fiftieth, even an un-birthday—with flowers that are created especially for as the person being celebrated. We love building arrangements around a favorite color, a beloved flower from childhood, or simply whatever is looking most alive and unexpected that week. A gathering of protea, anthurium, and trailing greenery says “celebration” in a way that feels far more memorable and lasts longer than a standard bouquet.

Anniversaries, big and small

Not every anniversary needs a grand gesture. Sometimes the loveliest ones are the quiet kind. A small arrangement on the kitchen table, a bouquet waiting on the nightstand, something that says I still choose you without needing to say a word. We’re always happy to help design something that reflects your story, whether it’s your first year together or your fortieth.

And it doesn’t have to be a wedding anniversary. You could celebrate a first date, a pet adoption, or a friendversary.

Welcoming guests

If you’re hosting family for the season, welcoming a special guest to your Palm Springs home, or running a boutique hotel or vacation rental, a fresh arrangement in the entryway or guest room does more than decorate a space — it tells someone they were expected, and that their visit matters. We work with several local hosts and short-term rental owners on exactly this, and it’s one of our quiet favorite parts of the business.

Dinner parties and gatherings

A beautifully set table starts long before the food arrives. Low, lush centerpieces that don’t block conversation, a scattering of small bud vases down the table, or one dramatic statement piece at the entry — the right florals set the tone for an evening before a single guest sits down. As the weather begins to cool later this fall and outdoor entertaining season returns to the desert, this is exactly the kind of detail worth planning for early.

Jus because flowers

Some of the most meaningful flowers we send have no occasion attached to them at all. Someone thinking of a friend, congratulating themselves quietly on a hard week well survived, or simply wanting something beautiful in the house is reason enough. You never need an excuse to bring flowers into your life..

Gender reveals & baby showers — soft, joyful palettes to match the celebration

New job or promotion — because milestones at work deserve marking too

Get well soon — a little brightness for those under the weather

House for sale — making a house more elegant with fresh flowers

Housewarming — welcoming someone into a new chapter

Graduation — for the achievement, and everything still ahead

Self-care — sometimes the occasion is simply you

Holidays — from Valentine’s Day, to Mother’s Day, to the winter season, we love helping you celebrate all year long

Let’s design something for your moment

Whatever you’re celebrating or simply wanting to make a little more beautiful, we’d love to help. Our approach is the same no matter the occasion—rare, unusual blooms, thoughtfully gathered, designed to feel like they were made just for you or whomever you send them to.

The wedding problem that’s easy to fix.

On wedding day, you want to be aware of every moment. Like the song says you don’t wanna miss a thing. There’s one distraction that’s super easy to avoid but ensnares many brides. Can you guess what it is?

Hunger.  Yes! Hunger.  Avoiding a heavy meal so you don’t bloat? Yes.  Not having anything to eat?  No. So, have a snack!  We’ve listed some ideas- mix and match! All of the below are easy to keep around while you are getting ready.

Be well and love well.

Celebrating holidays helps your relationship! Get your Halloween on!

Celebrating holidays is good for your relationship – especially if you’re planning a wedding. No excuses for not celebrating Halloween people! Here are 3 reasons why getting in the holiday spirit is good for you and your sweetie.

Holidays are built-in together-time: We discussed the “I’m too busy with my wedding to celebrate Halloween” concept in an earlier post.  Snap out of it! Take advantage of the momentum in the existing holiday and create traditions with your partner. We’re making memories people!

Holidays are great for new experiences: and it’s been scientifically proven that couples who learn and experience new things together are happier.  Take pumpkin carving classes! Learn to traditional Dia De Los Muertos dances!  Get happy!IMG_3344

Holidays are FUN! : Whether or not you’re planning a wedding, we all need a little more fun in our lives.  Making time to focus on something Halloweeny be it a spooky dinner, decorating your space or just watching The Great Pumpkin you and your honey can make this Halloween a blast.

You’ve got your (fun) work cut out for you. We’ve got Halloween first, Thanksgiving and then the winter holidays are soon upon us.  Get out there and celebrate!
