Be grateful on Mondays

Being grateful on Mondays is a big deal at My Little Flower Shop for a few reasons.

  • Having just come off an amazing weekend full of wedding and parties,  we feel honored to be a part of the life of our clients and our community.
  • As a result, we have a thriving business.  We work hard, and we’re thankful for all that our hard work has brought us.
  • We work with the earth’s most beautiful creations: flowers.  To come to work every day to a shop full of beautiful blooms is a blessing.  Cubicles just aren’t our style.
  • Did I mention how amazing a community we are a part of? Other businesses, business organizations, friends, family…

With all that is good in our lives, being depressed about a day of the week just isn’t logical.  So, happy Monday everyone, thanks for sharing it with us.

Be well and love well,

Dinah

The Wedding Movie Of The Week! Sixties Classic Dramedy – The Graduate

When talking classic, coming-of-age movies, nothing beats “The Graduate.” You’ve got iconic quotes, and the-graduate-movie-postercareer-defining performances by Anne Bancroft and a young Dustin Hoffman in a great movie directed by Mike Nichols.  This film was how a lot of people first heard the “new band” Simon & Garfunkel.  If you’ve never seen it, and always wondered who Mrs. Robinson was, settle in for a great 60’s experience.  The wedding isn’t very wedding-y, but it’s in there, so it counts for our series.  Here’s to you!

The Wedding Movie of the Week! Classic Hollywood Musical – Funny Face

I’ve got the 1956 theater trailer below! How exciting! Audrey Hepburn outfitted by Givenchy in a movie set in Paris already is genius. Throw in Fred Astaire, amazing dance numbers* and the George Gershwin songs, and you have classic Hollywood musical magic.

Bon voyage! As they say in the trailer, you’re going to have a marvelous time!

*did you know Audrey Hepburn was a trained dancer before she started acting?
