Polo gallops into fashion week – Hot new trend: Village Chic

Fashion Week rolls on here in Palm Springs!  FW events and parties so far have been the bee’s knees. (And that bee is a 5′ 11 blonde with a sort of cool/messy shag and no hips.  And looks fabulous in everything).  Oh be patient people, the title will make sense by the time you’re done reading.

Philanthropy is the focus of some events, and we love that.   We are so honored when charities choose us to help with decor for an event they are holding, and we’re doing just that on Saturday at the Empire Polo Club when they hold their 2011 Champions Cup benefitting Martha’s Village, a local homeless services non-profit. There’s a Polo match, and a formal lunch and looks like a terrific event. Tickets are still available, see the details below.  Hope to see you there, fashion plate!

PS – the Polo Club is also an event venue. Brides, do double duty and check out the space!

There's still time! Come out for the event!

Bridal Show Report: Brides Rockin’ the Rocks and Talkin’ the Talk!

The brides were out at the Palm Valley Country Club yesterday, and so were all the vendors, friends old and new.  We got to see all the shiny new rings – mostly on girls who’ve been engaged a few months and are rarin’ to get started on those checklists.  The advice we pass along most frequently is the same whether you’ve had the ring for eleven minutes or eleven months: breathe, stand up straight, and enjoy your moment.  Yesterday the moment was kid-in-the candy-store time – all those resources laid out in one place, gee whiz!  Hard to know where to start.  We sat back and enjoyed the parade of happiness that walked past our booth.  And of course, admired our handiwork.  Thanks to Genoa from The Pastry Swan Bakery for modeling this bridal bouquet for us!
